Top 3 Tips from an Acupuncturist

If I could only give you three tips as a TCM acupuncturist, it would be these:

Go to bed before 11pm!
In TCM, 11pm–3am is when the Liver and Gallbladder do their deepest work in detoxifying blood, regulating hormones, and restoring your nervous system. Staying up late steals from this repair time, which can show up as fatigue, irritability, hormonal imbalance, or poor digestion.

Skip the iced coffee and smoothies. Start your day WARM & NOURISHED!
Cold drinks extinguish Digestive Fire (Spleen & Stomach Qi). When digestion runs cold, food isn’t transformed efficiently, leading to bloating, sluggishness, brain fog, and low energy. Warm beverages keep Qi moving and nutrients absorbing.

Keep your feet warm, and while you are at it your lower back and stomach too!
The feet house the Kidney meridian, the root of your vitality, immunity, and longevity. Cold enters through the feet and can weaken Kidney Yang, leading to low energy, poor circulation, menstrual issues, and back pain. Warm feet = protected energy, and a cozy womb.
